Lisandro Rota

Lisandro Rota was born in 1946 in Lucca. His encouter with painting goes back to 1969 and as a self taught painter, he started with landscapes slowly passing to a different more imaginative and dark style before adopting his curvy lady style. There is a streak of irony in all his work. At times this irony becomes harsh when dealing with more sensitive issues. However his use of colour and the playfull atmosphere sweeter his art while making you laugh and reflect. His artwork has been widley exibited with grat success and he is present in many collections around the world.
